Greystone is committed to protecting your confidential personal information ("Personal Information"). Personal Information includes, but is not limited to, social security numbers, driver’s license numbers, account numbers, credit or debit card numbers, passports, health insurance identification numbers and any other information capable of being associated with a particular person. Greystone collects and stores Personal Information that you give to Greystone, including information automatically gathered through the use of our website.  Greystone does not sell Personal Information to any third party. Greystone restricts access to Personal Information to those Greystone employees and volunteers bound by a Confidential Information Policy who need to know such Personal Information to provide Greystone Services or facilitate donations. Greystone is not responsible for Personal Information that you post on public forums or communicate via social media platforms or submit to our third party service providers. Greystone encourages you to review the privacy statements of websites that you utilize to understand how those websites collect, use and share your information. Greystone is not responsible for the privacy statements or the use of your Personal Information on websites external to the Greystone websites.

TECHNOLOGY AND COOKIES

Greystone automatically collects information about your computer hardware and software (which may include your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring website addresses) for the operation of Greystone Services and the Greystone website, and to understand Greystone website usage.

SAFEGUARDING INFORMATION

Although security cannot be guaranteed, Greystone utilizes suitable physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard Personal Information that you provide us or that we collect on our website. The transmission of information via the internet, cellular networks, or other electronic means is not completely secure and therefore we cannot guarantee the security of data sent to us electronically or gathered on our website. Such sharing or transmission of data is therefore entirely at your own risk. Personal Information for which Greystone no longer has a need shall be destroyed. Greystone will destroy, erase, shred, or make unreadable its business records that contain Personal Information prior to disposing of such business records.

Greystone seeks to protect clients by safeguarding client Personal Information in its possession. Greystone may use client Personal Information for the following activities:

Delivery of Charity Services: We use Personal Information to offer Greystone Services. This includes the use of Personal Information for purposes that include, but are not limited to: eligibility reviews of a potential client, disbursement of grants to a client, disbursement of monies to, or discussions with, a third party on behalf of a client, and the provision of financial counseling for a client.

 

Transactions Involving Third Parties: In certain situations, Greystone share Personal Information with third parties to verify client eligibility or make a disbursement of monies directly to a third party on behalf of a client.

 

Communication with Clients: We use Personal Information when communicating with clients and former clients in relation to Greystone Services via different channels (e.g., by phone, email, chat, text, electronic forms, fax, or mail).

 

Evaluating Greystone Efficacy: We may contact clients and former clients to review the efficacy of Greystone Services.

DONOR PRIVACY Greystone seeks to protect donors by safeguarding donor Personal Information that is shared with us. Greystone will not sell, share or trade our donors’ names or Personal Information with any third party except our service providers, nor send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations. Greystone may use donor Personal Information for the following activities:

 

Donations:  We may collect information such as your name, address, email address,  telephone number, and payment information when you make a donation to Greystone. We may also collect information about your donation transactions history with Greystone.

Response to Inquiry:  We may collect information such as your name, address, email, or telephone number in order to respond to an inquiry that you make via electronic, telephonic or in-person correspondence with Greystone.

 

Events:   We may collect your name, email address, telephone number, and other contact information if you register for and/or attend an event with Greystone.​​​
